Corendon celebrate Tigers sponsorship extension
Corendon Airlines have welcomed the extension of their sponsorship with EFL Championship club Hull City as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.
The Turkey-based airline has renewed its partnership with Hull City as official travel sponsor and announced a two-year extension as part of the squad’s pre-season training camp at the TFF Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Training and Camp Facilities, in Istanbul.
Under the ‘Tigers on Tour’ campaign, a group of nearly 50 Hull supporters joined the team for its pre-season preparations, on a specially designed Corendon Airlines aircraft featuring a striking tiger livery inspired by the Hull City logo.
As revealed by Bdaily.com last week, Corendon’s extended partnership was announced at a press conference with Hull City chairman and Turkish TV mogul Acun Ilıcalı, new head coach Sergej Jakirovic, and the club’s sporting director Jared Dublin.
Yıldıray Karaer, Corendon Airlines chairman of the board, Corendon Airlines said: “As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of our company, we are delighted to renew our sponsorship agreement with Hull City, which began in 2022.
“This partnership is not only a significant milestone in Corendon Airlines’ international brand journey, but also a tangible reflection of the value we place on the unifying power of sports. We are proud to continue this strong collaboration, driven by our belief in Acun Ilıcalı’s vision and the future of Hull City.”
Acun Ilıcalı added: “Corendon Airlines believed in this project from day one and has been with us ever since. I send my love to the entire Corendon family. They’re happy, and so are we.
“Corendon Airlines is the brand bringing our British fans to Turkey, and it plays a crucial role in our country's tourism. They’re bringing the world to Turkey.
“If we can make our voices heard in the UK together, that will be a great success. We’ll continue this partnership for many years to come.”
Corendon was founded in the Netherlands in 2004 as a tour operator and has since grown into a tourism group, incorporating an airline, incoming agency, and hotels across Europe, Turkey, and the Caribbean.
As well as flying to 165 destinations in 65 countries, Newcastle, Manchester and London Gatwick airports, and includes two hotels in Turkey, five in Amsterdam, and four on the Caribbean island of Curaçao in its portfolio.
