Heavy lifting as engineer makes history
A Tees Valley engineering firm has unveiled a record-breaking creation made in Middlesbrough.
Multi-Sec Engineered Lifting Systems, supported by Durham Lifting, has produced the largest C-Hook ever manufactured in the UK.
The bespoke lifting device was engineered for the SeAH Wind monopile factory and marks a major milestone for British manufacturing.
Designed and built entirely in-house, the C-Hook is now pending patent approval.
Its launch was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Britannia Test House, in Middlesbrough.
Amanda Gardiner, managing director of Durham Lifting, said: “This project not only showcases our technical capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to driving innovation and supporting industrial growth within the Tees Valley and beyond.
“The patent-pending design is a testament to the strength of our region’s engineering and manufacturing talent and its vital role in advancing offshore wind infrastructure.”
