Womble Bond Dickinson adds to Newcastle team
International law firm Womble Bond Dickinson has promoted five senior lawyers to partner in its Newcastle office, underlining the firm’s commitment to growth and talent development.
Oliver Rickett has been promoted to partner in the corporate and commercial team, focusing on supporting fast-growing businesses and investors, as well as managing large cross-border M&A transactions.
David Ridley has also been promoted to partner in the corporate and commercial team, advising clients across sectors on UK and international corporate transactions, with particular experience in private equity and the energy industry.
Ellen Rutherford has been promoted to partner in the private wealth team (agriculture & estates), assisting landed estates, companies, charities and trusts with acquisitions, disposals and rural property matters.
Meanwhile, Joe Kelley has been promoted to partner in the private wealth team (private capital), acting for trustees, beneficiaries and high-net-worth clients in complex disputes, including trustee decisions, contested wills and proprietary estoppel claims.
Finally, Susan Maxey has been promoted to partner in the private wealth team (private capital), advising private clients and trustees on estate planning, capital taxation, asset protection and inheritance tax mitigation, with extensive experience in private company shares.
