Moorings firm expands with marina deals
A residential and leisure mooring provider has expanded with a trio of deals.
Aquavista has bought three marinas in the North West.
Bosses say the agreements for Fettlers Wharf Marina, near Ormskirk, and Furness Vale Marina and Marple Marina, near Stockport, will “further enhance its mooring experience”.
They add the deals boost Nottinghamshire-based Aquavista’s UK-wide portfolio to 32 marinas and more than 5300 berths.
Steve de Polo, Aquavista chief executive, said: “Fettlers Wharf, Furness Vale and Marple Marina complement our current footprint, and we look forward to working with moorers to invest in products and services.
“Our mission remains to provide a great waterside experience, whether you live, visit or work at an Aquavista marina.”
The deals were supported by private equity investor LDC, with debt facilities provided by Barings and Clydesdale Bank.
David Bains, LDC partner and head of East Midlands and East of England, added: “This acquisition marks another key milestone for Aquavista.
“These three marinas will make an excellent addition to its portfolio.”
