New partnership helps organisations to boost cyber security defences

A new partnership between Hebburn-based ITC Service and Home Office-funded Police CyberAlarm is set to help organisations boost their defences against digital threats without the need to manage or interpret security alarms themselves.

Police CyberAlarm is an award-winning, cyber monitoring tool designed to help organisations stay ahead of digital threats.

Since its creation it has been instrumental in identifying more than one billion suspicious events nationwide.  This information has been translated into meaningful advice and interventions, helping organisations to take action to prevent successful cyberattacks and enhancing their resilience.

As one of the first managed service partners in the UK to integrate directly with Police CyberAlarm, ITC Service can now provide automated alert handling and response as part of its managed security services.

Detected vulnerabilities and risks are triaged by the ITC Service team and, where appropriate, remediation steps are carried out as part of the client’s managed service.
This unique integration enables ITC clients to benefit from the full capabilities of the Police CyberAlarm platform without the need to devote extra resources.

Connor Thomas, head of marketing at ITC Service, said: “ITC Service is a long-standing champion of proactive cyber security with two decades of experience, so forming this partnership with Police CyberAlarm is a logical choice for us.

“We’re proud to be working very closely with the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit, promoting cyber awareness through interactive training sessions, and we’ve seen the very real value in facilitating this for our clients.

“Through this close integration with Police CyberAlarm we’re adding yet another layer of robust protection to our proactive approach, with client benefit at the heart of our partnership.

“This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to providing our clients with best in class cyber security solutions, and is a big step forward in helping our clients to protect themselves from harm.”
