Accountancy firm toasts 90th anniversary
A Yorkshire-based accountancy firm has celebrated its 90th anniversary with a local twist.
Forrester Boyd, which recently opened a Leeds City Centre office, has partnered with Grimsby brewery Docks Beers to create a limited-edition celebratory beer named Liquid Asset.
The hazy pale ale, brewed exclusively for Forrester Boyd events, will also feature in prize hampers throughout the anniversary year.
Partners and staff recently visited the Docks Beers brewery to see the brewing process, meet the team behind the ale and enjoy a first taste.
The visit was also themed around a photoshoot, highlighting the firm’s milestone with the tagline 'Cheers to 90 Years'.
Philip George, partner at Forrester Boyd, said: “Celebrating 90 years is a remarkable achievement and we wanted to do something unique that reflects both our heritage and our future.
“Partnering with Docks Beers felt like the perfect choice – not only are they a local success story, but they also share our pride in Grimsby.
“Liquid Asset is a fun, memorable way for us to share this milestone with our clients, colleagues and community.”
Paul Savage, managing director at Docks Beers, added: “When Forrester Boyd approached us about brewing a special beer for their anniversary, we were delighted.
“It’s a brilliant way to celebrate such a long-standing local business, and we loved creating Liquid Asset for them.
“It’s a hazy pale ale with character – just like the firm itself – and we hope everyone who gets to try it raises a glass to their 90 years of success.”
Founded in Grimsby in 1935, Forrester Boyd has grown into a leading independent chartered accountancy firm, serving clients across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
The collaboration with Docks Beers reflects the strong local heritage both businesses share – a nod to Forrester Boyd’s original office on Grimsby Docks, which was destroyed during a Luftwaffe raid in 1943.
