Knights adds family law team in Leeds
Knights has expanded its Leeds office with the launch of a dedicated family law team, appointing senior associate Ella Dodgson and associate Rebecca Laffan.
Ella, who joins from Ward Hadaway, specialises in complex financial settlements, including high-value asset division and advises on pre and post-nuptial agreements.
Rebecca, previously with Harrowells Limited, has expertise in financial outcomes on divorce and private law children cases involving safeguarding concerns.
The pair, who previously worked together at Harrowells in 2022, regularly advise entrepreneurs, business owners and individuals with inherited or generational wealth.
Ella said: “Knights really stood out to us because of its progressive and entrepreneurial approach to legal services.
“The One Team ethos and collaborative culture align closely with our own values, and we’re excited to bring our expertise to Leeds and play a role in growing the family practice here.”
Their appointments mark the first family law presence for Knights in Leeds, complementing the firm’s existing teams nationwide.
Knights now operates with 1350 professionals across 32 offices and ranks among the UK’s top 50 law firms by revenue, providing services for businesses and premium advisory support for private clients.
Lisa Shacklock, group client services director at Knights, added: “Ella and Rebecca bring real strength and depth to our family offering, particularly in high-value financial settlements and complex children matters.
“Their arrival also signals our commitment to building a strong family presence in Leeds, where we continue to expand our private client services alongside our business-focused offering.”
