Laytons ETL appoints managing partner
Historic City of London law firm Laytons ETL has appointed Rebekah Parker as its new managing partner, becoming the first woman to hold the role in the firm’s 150-year history.
Rebekah joined Laytons ETL as a trainee in 2008 and qualified into its disputes department in 2010.
She became a disputes partner in 2018 and has held the role of deputy managing partner for the past six months.
As managing partner, she will lead the implementation of the firm’s growth strategy, which includes ambitious plans to achieve £20 million turnover by 2027.
Rebekah said: “Having begun my career at Laytons as a trainee, I’m honoured to be appointed managing partner.
“I’m proud to be the first woman to take on this role and will draw on my personal experiences to guide my approach to leadership.
“I’m committed to maintaining the firm’s strong foundations of excellence, collaboration and global reach, and excited about working with our talented teams to shape the future of the firm and support our clients through the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
Laytons ETL is internationally focused, full-service and renowned for its expertise in dispute resolution, real estate, employment, intellectual property, tax and private wealth work.
The firm currently employs 90 people and has recently moved to new Grade A offices in Cannon Street to support future expansion.
David Jones, UK head of legal at ETL GLOBAL UK, added: “Rebekah is an exceptional litigator and also a fantastic leader who I am confident will be more than equal to the task of guiding the firm to the next level, both in terms of its financial targets and its ongoing development as a key player in the mid-market both in the UK and worldwide.”
