Mincoffs appoints head of culture and people
North East law firm Mincoffs Solicitors has created a new senior management role, appointing Aoife Owens as head of culture and people.
Based in Newcastle, Aoife will lead recruitment, people strategy, talent development and wellbeing and culture, expanding the firm’s HR department.
She brings a decade of experience in recruitment and HR, having helped grow a specialist agency from eight to over 100 employees, and holds both a law degree with LPC and a CIPD Level 7 advanced diploma in HR management.
Aoife said: “I’m excited to be joining as head of culture and people in this new role that underlines the firm’s commitment to putting its people first.
“I can’t wait to build on the strong foundations already in place and to help shape a people journey that supports colleagues to feel valued, supported and able to do their best work.
“I’m really looking forward to working alongside such a talented team and contributing to the firm’s future.”
Mincoffs has provided legal services across the North East for more than 75 years, offering expertise in corporate and commercial, commercial real estate, dispute resolution, employment, licensing, residential conveyancing, family law and wills, probate and trusts.
Senior partner Paul Hughes added: “We continue to be committed to investing in our people as the firm expands and we are delighted to be introducing this new role within the practice management team.
“Aoife’s proven experience and passion for people and culture is evident to anyone who meets her, and we look forward to working closely with her as we implement her ideas into the wider strategy.
“With her background in recruitment, HR and law, I have no doubt Aoife will be a great fit at Mincoffs and help us enhance our culture, streamline our recruitment processes and achieve the next stage of our growth trajectory.”
