Adelphi Group wraps up Karmelle assets deal
A packaging maker says it is set for growth after wrapping up a deal.
Adelphi Group has bought business assets from Karmelle Liquid Filling & Capping Systems.
Bosses say the move will boost Adelphi’s product portfolio and deliver “greater flexibility in meeting its liquid filling and packaging needs”.
Headquartered in Haywards Heath, near Crawley, family-owned Adelphi Group makes and supplies goods to customers globally, with Karmelle known for designing and making machinery tailored to clients’ needs.
Chris Wilson, Adelphi Group managing director, said: “This step reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering the very best in British engineering and customer service.
“Together, Adelphi and Karmelle will provide more comprehensive, end-to-end solutions while continuing to uphold service excellence, responsiveness and engineering integrity.”
Law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore advised Adelphi Group on the deal.
Joanne Gallagher, head of corporate mergers and acquisitions at the Tunbridge Wells-based operator, led the legal team on the asset purchase for Adelphi, supported by Jack Pavey, Daniel Gorringe and Ben Stepney.
Joanne added: “It has been great to support Adelphi Group as it continues to go from strength to strength.”
