New recruitment firm aims to get Britain building
A new North West recruitment firm is set to support Britain’s construction sector.
MacMoran Recruitment has launched to supply skilled professionals across the UK construction industry.
Founded by recruitment expert Josh Moran and backed by entrepreneur Johnathan McKenna, the firm will initially focus on the North West, with plans to expand nationwide in the coming months.
Josh says the company aims to tackle persistent labour shortages by providing vetted, qualified candidates for all levels of construction roles, from tradespeople and on-the-tools staff to senior management overseeing projects.
He adds that MacMoran will offer rapid temporary staffing, permanent recruitment and specialist matching services, tailoring each placement to business needs and ensuring candidates bring real value.
Josh said: “After years of working in larger and boutique recruitment firms, I am exciting to be growing my own business supporting an industry I have got to know inside out.
“It’s a great time to be launching a business like this.
“There is a real drive to get building in Britain, with construction output continuing to grow, lots of projects coming online in the pipeline, and more than two million people working in the industry.
“Over the next two years, there is a shortfall of nearly 225,000 workers to support these projects, so competition for talent is continuing to heat up.”
Josh added: “We are an extension of our clients’ businesses, rather than a supplier.
“Our clients don’t just need people; they need the right people, quickly, and with minimal disruption.
“We’ve built MacMoran to be responsive, informed, and genuinely useful to the businesses we support.
“We take the time to get to know them, as well as our candidates, to make sure they are the right fit for one another.
“We’re adding value to our clients with candidates that will help them to grow, not just that they have the skills to do the job.”
Johnathan added: “The combined background and experience of Josh and myself means we understand the operational pressures contractors face, and we know how important it is to have dependable people on site and in management that can get the job done effectively.”
