Yorkshire firm launches engineering partnership
An engineering partnership is set to simplify industrial automation.
Normanton-based SEW-EURODRIVE UK and global linear motion specialist Rollon have joined forces to provide fully integrated motion solutions to British industry.
Bosses say the collaboration combines SEW-EURODRIVE’s motors and gearboxes with Rollon’s linear rails, guides and actuators, offering a single turnkey solution for complex automation projects.
They add that the cooperation allows customers to streamline specification and installation, reducing delays and accelerating project delivery, which will enable both companies to tackle larger, more complex projects across the UK and expand their customer base.
Leon Hulme, technical sales manager at SEW-EURODRIVE UK, said: “Rollon is a brand synonymous with automation excellence, so partnering with them lets us marry our gear and motor know-how with world-class linear motion.”
“Together we can provide UK customers with a one-stop solution and faster turnaround on projects, building our reputation as the go-to brands for fully integrated solutions.
“We’re looking forward to working together closely in the years ahead, with a view to making this a long-term partnership.”
The partnership’s first joint project delivers a commercial fire testing rig for a Scottish university, with SEW-EURODRIVE supplying the drive technology and Rollon designing the linear axis and telescopic rails to ensure precise, smooth motion.
The university selected the partnership for a one-stop solution, avoiding coordination challenges from multiple suppliers.
Lee Cheshire, technical sales engineer at Rollon, which is headquartered in Vimercate, in Italy, added: “Joining forces with SEW-EURODRIVE's legacy in drive technology gives UK customers double the engineering power in half the time.
“In an era where speed is of the essence, our combined offer will keep British industry at the forefront of innovation.”
