Square One recognised for inclusive culture

A law firm has been recognised for its commitment to people.

Square One Law, a B Corp commercial law firm, has been named ‘People and Work Business of the Year’ at the British Chamber of Commerce’s 22nd annual Chamber Business Awards. 

The accolade highlights companies that prioritise diversity, inclusion and workforce development, rewarding those that recruit, retrain and retain skilled staff while embedding these values into their culture. 

Square One Law impressed judges for its “courage to break away from traditional legal sector norms” and for championing inclusivity in a genuine and embedded way.

Founded 14 years ago as a start-up, Square One Law now operates across Newcastle, Darlington and Leeds, employing experienced lawyers across the UK. 

Its B Corp certification reflects its commitment to ethical practices, fairness and creating an inclusive workplace culture.

The firm will officially receive its award at a ceremony at the London Stock Exchange on November 26, where it will also compete for the Winner of Winners Award alongside other category champions.
