Fletchers Group grows with family law firm deal
A personal injury firm is set to expand with a takeover.
Fletchers Group has agreed a deal to buy family law practice Rayden Solicitors.
Bosses say the venture will mark the Manchester-headquartered national company’s first foray into family law and create a new “specialist pillar” alongside existing serious injury and clinical negligence operations.
Under the terms of the deal, Rayden Solicitors – which has offices across Birmingham, Buckinghamshire, Essex and London – will retain its brand, bases and leadership team.
Founder Katherine Rayden will join Fletchers Group’s executive committee.
The takeover – which remains subject to SRA approval – will be Fletchers Group’s tenth in the last four years, and comes after the addition of Scott Rees and Shoosmiths’ serious injury practice earlier this year.
Peter Haden, Fletchers Group chief executive, said: “Our strategy is clear: to invest in brilliant specialist firms and help them grow more quickly, help more clients and strengthen their organisation.
“We’re keen to apply the same successful approach to Raydens as we have in our serious injury and clinical negligence practice.
“Our experience in scaling up specialist legal practices gives us a strong platform to support Raydens’ next stage of growth.”
Katherine added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us.
“This acquisition will benefit both our colleagues and clients, while retaining our trusted Raydens brand.
“We will have access to more resources and support in all areas of the business, helping accelerate our growth plans and augmenting our capabilities and offering to clients.”
