Law firm expands with 'milestone' office move

A law firm has expanded with a new office.

Ison Harrison has opened a Middlesbrough base.

Bosses say the “major milestone” hub will oversee inquest, personal injury and civil liberties work.

Adding to more than 20 existing bases across Yorkshire, the office will be led by inquest law, personal injury and civil claims lawyer Sarah Magson.

Dawn Makepeace, an inquest work and human rights claims expert, also forms part of the team, alongside personal injury claim, inquest and human rights worker Sophie Kendall, litigator Alistair Smith and caseworker Sarah Finney.

Lawyer Paul Henderson is set to join in January.

Sarah said: “I’m delighted to be joining Ison Harrison and leading the Middlesbrough office.

“The firm’s values and focus on people-first legal service really appealed to me, and it’s fantastic to bring that approach to an area I know so well.

“Middlesbrough has a strong legal community and a real sense of pride.”

Gareth Naylor, director and head of personal injury and inquests, added: “Our move into Middlesbrough demonstrates how our growth is driven by people, talent and opportunity.

“Sarah’s team brings a remarkable depth of experience and a strong sense of purpose in representing clients who have faced some of the most difficult circumstances.”
