Weightmans strengthens Midlands team with partner hires
National law firm Weightmans has strengthened its Midlands presence with two senior partner appointments and office growth in Leicester and Nottingham.
Chantal Ul Haq-Weedon joins the firm’s national private wealth team, where she will lead the court of protection practice.
She specialises in managing finances and best interest decisions for individuals lacking capacity, with extensive experience supporting high-net-worth clients and complex deputyship cases.
Dipika Mistry joins the national family team, bringing a wealth of experience advising professionals, entrepreneurs and international clients on divorce, financial settlements and jurisdiction disputes.
The appointments coincide with legal director Luiza Balan becoming Leicester’s new regional office head and the opening of a new Nottingham office, further strengthening Weightmans’ East Midlands footprint and private client services.
Luiza said: “I am pleased to welcome Chantal and Dipika to the Leicester office.
“Their extensive experience and expertise will undoubtedly enhance our service offering and strengthen our presence in the region.
“I look forward to working with them both to further enhance our strong culture and deliver the very best outcomes for our clients.”
Emma Collins, partner and head of individuals, added: “Chantal and Dipika’s appointments represent an exciting part of the continued expansion of our national hubs of private client excellence, taking us into the East Midlands market to support the growth of our already highly regarded Leicester office.
“Their expertise in their respective fields is second to none, and they are both highly recognised within the profession.
“We are delighted to welcome them to our national private wealth and family teams and look forward to the positive impact they will bring to our clients and colleagues.”
