Leeds solicitor recognised for family law expertise
A Leeds-based solicitor has gained national recognition for her specialist work supporting vulnerable children and families.
Gabrielle Richardson, part of Switalskis’ child care team, has achieved specialist accreditation in private children law and advocacy from Resolution, the UK’s leading network of family law professionals.
The accreditation is regarded as a mark of excellence within the legal profession, awarded only to solicitors who demonstrate outstanding knowledge, advocacy and professional competence through rigorous written assessments, advocacy tests and case portfolios.
Gabrielle, who joined Switalskis in 2023, advises on cases involving domestic abuse, child access arrangements and special guardianship orders.
She also handles public law matters and international child abduction cases, further strengthening the firm’s expertise in complex family law.
Gabrielle said: “I was determined to achieve this accreditation to give clients added assurance that they’re in safe hands.
“Many of the families I work with are vulnerable, often having been through unimaginably difficult and distressing situations.
“It’s vital that they know their solicitor has the technical ability and experience, and this accreditation gives that reassurance.”
Ruth Coneron, head of Switalskis’ child care team, added: “Gabrielle has worked extremely hard to secure these specialist Resolution accreditations in children law and advocacy.
“It’s a demanding process that only a select number of lawyers complete successfully.
“Her determination and ability mean that our clients can be confident that they’re being advised by one the leading specialists in this area of law.
“Her achievement reflects her hard work and passion for achieving best outcomes for children and families.”
