Cartmell Shepherd appoints senior associate
Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors has expanded its wills, probate and inheritance team with the appointment of experienced solicitor Emma Pringle as senior associate at its Hexham office.
Emma brings almost 20 years’ experience and specialist expertise in rural estate management, having previously held senior roles at firms in Manchester, Carlisle and Newcastle.
A member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), she advises clients on all aspects of estate administration, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection matters and trust formation.
Her arrival further strengthens the Legal 500-ranked department, which works with clients across Northumberland, Cumbria and nationally.
Emma, who is an active charity fundraiser, having completed the Great North Run on numerous occasions to raise funds for Parkinsons UK, a cause close to her heart due to her father’s diagnosis, said: “While managing estates is our day-to-day, for clients it represents a lifetime of achievements and their family’s future.
“My role is to help clients put plans into place which will enable them to achieve their goals.
“This process requires time, care and attention.”
Emma added: “I’m excited to be joining a team that is well-known for their specialist knowledge of rural estates.
“It’s great to be working alongside some brilliant lawyers who are committed to serving rural communities.
“I’m also looking forward to getting out of the office and networking with contacts in the area.
“My first trip out to Cartmells’ monthly Hexham and Tyne Valley Ladies’ Networking Lunch last week was a pleasure!”
Alan Douglas, director and head of the wills, probate and inheritance team in Hexham, added: “Emma is a fantastic addition to our team at the Hexham office.
“She has significant knowledge and experience as a solicitor and I’m confident clients will value her approachable and personable manner.”
