Seaham Hall to help drive Christmas cheer
A County Durham spa resort is supporting a regional festive campaign through a new community partnership.
Seaham Hall has teamed up with Lloyd Land Rover North East to back this year’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal, joining showrooms and service centres in Newcastle, Stockton and Houghton-le-Spring to help collect gifts for local children.
Visitors and guests can donate new, unwrapped toys at the participating sites or at Seaham Hall before Monday, December 16, with all contributors entered into a draw to win an overnight stay for two at the hotel.
Ross Grieve, managing director at Seaham Hall, said: “To play a part in the incredible work that Mission Christmas do means a great deal to us.
“We’re honoured to work alongside local partners and the local community to support such an important cause.
“Together, we hope we can make a real difference to families who need it the most this festive season.”
Mark Royal, head of business at Lloyd Land Rover North East, added: “Mission Christmas is such an amazing cause, providing toys for kids in the North East who simply would not have anything to open on Christmas Day.
“We are delighted to build on the past two years with the support of Seaham Hall and our dealerships in Houghton Le Spring and Stockton.
“I hope we can make a real difference this Christmas.”
Mission Christmas supports children and young people living in poverty by ensuring they have a present to open on Christmas Day.
Donations will be collected by the Defender Convoy on December 17 and delivered to the Mission Christmas warehouse for distribution across the region.
