Northern Telecom expands with C-STEM deal
A Yorkshire telecommunications company has expanded its IT and cyber security capabilities through the acquisition of a specialist Zero-Trust provider.
Northern Telecom has purchased Newport-based C-STEM, a business focused on Zero Trust architecture and managed IT solutions.
The deal marks the company’s third acquisition this year and continues its investment in Wales, following its purchase of Dyfed Telecom in February.
C-STEM’s expertise will enhance the group’s ability to support organisations seeking to reduce operational risks, strengthen security and improve productivity.
The transaction, advised by North East law firm Mincoffs Solicitors, represents Northern Telecom’s 23rd acquisition to date.
Jon Graves, group chief executive of Northern Telecom, said: “The group has had a great year and the acquisition of C-STEM gives us new capability and markets which will unlock further growth potential in the business.
“Chris and the Mincoffs team are way more than suppliers to our business.
“They have been instrumental in our acquisition strategy and are critical to the growth of our business.”
Mincoffs, which has operated for more than 75 years, supports clients across the UK with corporate, commercial, real estate, dispute resolution and employment services.
Chris Hughes, partner in Mincoffs Solicitors’ corporate team, added: “We have worked closely with Jon and the team for a number of years now and it was our pleasure to deliver another successful transaction for the group.
“Northern Telecom continues to go from strength to strength and this latest acquisition complements the team’s plans for growth and bolsters their IT and cyber security offering.
“We wish C-STEM continued success within the group and look forward to working closely with Jon and the team on future deals.”
