Tech firm tops 500 and secures Government work
A tech firm has hit an employee milestone and struck a Government partnership.
Opencast has smashed the 500-staff mark.
Bosses say its employee figure strengthens the Newcastle-headquartered company’s ambitions to become “the UK’s leading purpose-driven technology consultancy”.
The firm has also secured a place on the Government’s £16 billion Crown Commercial Service Technology Services 4 framework, which it says will “provide access to new opportunities to support public sector clients”.
The agreement builds on contract wins that include work with the Home Office and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office; the Department for Work and Pensions; HM Revenue and Customs; the Ministry of Justice; the Department for Education; NHS England and NHS Business Service Authority.
Founded in 2012, Opencast’s Government work supports services used by millions of citizens, employees, businesses, patients and clinicians.
Tom Lawson, chief executive at the firm, which has further offices in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, said: “Hitting such a significant milestone to end 2025 is a fantastic achievement.
“We’re excited to see our expansion continue across the UK, enabling us to extend our reach and take on new challenging client projects and work with new and diverse partners.”
