Aberdein Considine strengthens lender services team

National law firm Aberdein Considine LLP has appointed Shilpi Jairath as operations director within its award-winning Lender Services Practice Group, based at the firm’s Newcastle office.

Shilpi brings more than 22 years’ experience in contractual recoveries across consumer and commercial agreements, with specialist expertise in secured and unsecured lending and complex mortgage repossession litigation.

She joins from national recoveries business Ascent Performance Group, where she most recently served as Head of Litigation, overseeing large-scale operations and multi-disciplinary teams.

Shilpi said: “Having worked at a senior level in contractual recoveries for many years, I jumped at the chance to join Aberdein Considine’s award-winning Lender Services Practice Group, which is renowned as one of the UK’s leading debt recovery specialists.

Shilpi’s appointment follows another strong year for Aberdein Considine’s Lender Services Practice Group, which was named UK Legal Team of the Year at the Credit Awards 2025 and secured Debt Recovery Team of the Year at the Herald Law Awards of Scotland for the second consecutive year.
