Knights appoints commercial partner in Leeds
The Leeds-based office of legal and professional services firm Knights has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of Milena Falciano-Padron as a partner.
Milena joins Knights from DLA Piper, bringing extensive experience advising a wide range of clients, from in-house legal teams and senior managers to major national and international businesses.
Her background includes working with global manufacturing groups, Yorkshire-based listed companies in the consumer care and life sciences sector, as well as a number of international hospitality and leisure brands expanding into the UK market.
She also brings valuable in-house experience, giving her a strong understanding of balancing legal and commercial priorities.
Based in Leeds, Milena will work alongside colleagues specialising in data protection and privacy law and competition law, further strengthening the breadth of the commercial offering.
She said: “I’m thrilled to have joined the team at Knights.
“It’s refreshing to work somewhere that approaches the legal sector differently – genuinely working as a team, no hierarchy, and making sure clients get the best service possible.
“I pride myself on being pragmatic with my clients, looking for real solutions to their issues, rather than simply doing what they feel is the best solution and potentially wasting their time and money.
“Moving to Knights allows me to channel this mindset even more.
“Without the red tape other firms have, I can really get to know my clients and build their trust, allowing me to concentrate on doing the best work possible for them.”
Milena’s appointment supports Knights’ continued investment in senior expertise as it grows its regional presence across the UK.
David Lister, client services director in Leeds, added: “It’s been terrific having Milena join the team.
“Her vast experience, both in-house and client-side, and her approach to client relations is a great fit for the commercial offering we are building in our Leeds and Yorkshire offices.
“This appointment will complement our already well-established national commercial team, strengthening the breadth and depth of expertise available to clients.”
