McCormicks Solicitors makes senior promotions
Harrogate-based law firm McCormicks Solicitors has made two senior promotions as it continues to strengthen its legal team in North Yorkshire.
Brian Nuttney, a member of the firm’s crime and fraud team, has been promoted to partner.
He joined McCormicks in 2018 and advises clients across a wide range of criminal matters, appearing regularly in magistrates’ courts and police stations across the region.
Partner Peter Minnikin, who heads the crime department, said: “Brian’s diligence and analytical approach have proved a real asset to the department and he has wide-ranging expertise, both in representing clients himself and in preparing cases for the higher courts.”
David Leuchars has been promoted to senior associate solicitor within the firm’s corporate and commercial department.
He advises individuals and businesses on corporate transactions, company structures and commercial contracts, and was recognised in the latest edition of the UK Legal 500.
Partner James Towler, head of corporate and commercial, added: “David works extremely hard to understand the needs of our clients and to ensure the best possible outcomes for them.
“His promotion recognises his value to both the practice and our clients.”
