WJM strengthens Inverness team
Inverness-based law firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) has strengthened its local team with the return of two experienced solicitors.
Senior associate Alison Reid has rejoined the firm’s private client team, advising on wills and estate planning, powers of attorney, trusts and executries.
Legal director Yasmin Myles has also returned and will support clients across the firm’s commercial property and renewables teams.
Both appointments add further depth to WJM’s Inverness office as it looks to expand its service offering across the Highlands and Islands.
Private client services and renewables are expected to be key growth areas for the firm in the year ahead.
Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP provides legal services to individuals and businesses across Scotland, with offices including its Inverness base.
Angus MacLeod, partner and head of the Inverness office, said: “It’s wonderful to have Alison and Yasmin back with us and we know they will bring local knowledge and excellent sector experience with them as well as enhancing our service offering to our growing client base in the region.
“Significant inheritance tax changes coming into effect from April this year will inevitably generate a need for a lot of legal work, particularly in the private client sphere so bolstering our team with the addition of Alison will increase our capacity to assist clients as they navigate and prepare for the changes.
“Renewables will also continue to be a real area of focus for our firm, with plans to grow the team over the coming year so Yasmin is a very welcome addition to the team and brings a wealth of experience.”
