Cyber alliance aims to bolster digital defences
A Yorkshire-based technology partnership has launched a new cyber assessment service in response to rising digital threats and tighter regulation.
Leeds-based digital consultancy Axiologik and cyber security specialist Precursor Security have joined forces following a year of record demand for cyber support.
In 2025, Axiologik reported a six-fold increase in cyber consulting activity, while Precursor Security achieved 50 per cent revenue growth as organisations moved to strengthen their defences.
The partnership has led to the launch of AxioSECURE, a cyber risk and resilience assessment designed to help organisations identify their most significant cyber threats, prioritise mitigation actions and assess their ability to recover from major incidents.
Bosses say the service will combine strategic and technical analysis with offensive security testing, examining risks across people, processes and technology, including exposure created by suppliers and third-party software.
The launch comes ahead of new UK cyber legislation due in 2026, which will require organisations in critical sectors to demonstrate robust cyber risk management and resilience.
Ben Davison, co-founder and director of Axiologik, said: “The cyber security landscape is complex and constantly evolving.
“Our assessment tools are designed to cut through that and give organisations clear, practical insights into where they are exposed and what they need to do next.
“Last year’s high-profile attacks have shown that even organisations who have already invested heavily in cyber security can be caught out, particularly where they have failed to fully consider third-party breaches, which are one of the biggest overlooked risks.
“There are very few assessments that combine deep technical cyber expertise with the strategic perspectives needed to assess risk holistically across today’s modern, complex enterprises.
“In partnering with Precursor we believe we’re offering something genuinely different – support that helps organisations not just understand their risk but actually take action.
“Incoming legislation is going to make cyber resilience a legal requirement for many organisations, but it should be deemed essential work for every organisation, regardless of whether they fall within the scope of the new bill.”
