Contractor builds with data centre expansion
A building contractor is embarking on a “milestone” expansion.
Winvic Construction has founded a data centre division.
Bosses say the move will “bring its core values and expertise to a rapidly expanding market”.
The venture adds to existing industrial and logistics, multi-room and civils and infrastructure arms at the Northampton-headquartered firm.
Danny Cross, director – head of data centre delivery, said: “Over the last 18 months, we have focused on developing our supply chain, upskilling our teams and recruiting new expertise.
“Working alongside specialist mechanical, electrical and plumbing partners, we’re combining civil engineering scale and management with technical precision to deliver data centres designed for uptime, resilience and scalability.
“This marks a significant milestone in our evolution as we expand into one of the fastest-growing construction sectors.”
The move comes just days after Winvic Construction was appointed by Prologis to deliver a national Marks & Spencer distribution centre at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal.
