Appointments 'add up to growth' for accountants
An accountancy firm says its numbers are pointing to growth after bolstering its team.
Blu Sky has strengthened its senior leadership and support teams.
Bosses say the moves leave the North Shields-headquartered company primed to build on 20 per cent revenue growth and meet a £3 million turnover target.
The firm has made three fractional appointments, with Cassie Webster joining as chief marketing officer, Alistair McLeod as chief information officer and Katrina Appleyard as chief sustainability officer.
The B Corp-certified business has also made a number of promotions, with Chrissie Krappe stepping into the newly-created role of managing director and Josh Sanghera becoming head of growth.
Kim Rowling is combining her executive assistant position with a head of people role.
Jon Dudgeon, founder and director of the firm, which has further offices in Newcastle and London, said: “We’ve had an incredible year, increasing our revenue by 20 per cent and setting a clear ambition to reach £3 million turnover by 2027.
“To support our growth, we have invested heavily in leadership development, working with behavioural coaching company Tribero and New Results Training, to enable our people to step into senior roles.
“At board level, bringing in fractional expertise allows us to add depth and capability while staying true to our B Corp values.”
He added Matthew Cotson, Bryony Da Silva, Danielle Clements and Reegan Henderson are set to take part in a new internal leadership and development programme, with Henry Cotson embarking on a tax apprenticeship and Lewis Miller close to completing his final ACA exams.
Elsewhere, the firm – which earlier this week unveiled a Newcastle Eagles partnership – has welcomed Bob Appleby and Davide Di Maio into its tax team, alongside Alex Boulton and Jaisal Shah in client management roles.
Jayvee Bautista, Kathleen Santiago and Ritchelle Ornopia have also joined its Philippines offshore team.
