Sweeney Miller Law appoints partner
North East law firm Sweeney Miller Law has appointed Rishi Kohli as partner, strengthening its commercial services and formally launching a dedicated commercial offering.
Rishi joins the partnership with extensive experience advising on complex commercial contracts, including supply and distribution agreements, outsourcing arrangements and framework agreements.
He will also support the firm’s asset and share sale work, providing commercially focused advice to businesses operating in high-growth and time-sensitive environments.
Rishi trained and qualified at a transatlantic law firm before moving into in-house roles within the renewable energy sector, advising on contracts supporting offshore and onshore wind projects.
Most recently, he held a senior leadership position at an international law firm, overseeing the delivery of complex, high-volume legal services.
Rishi said: “What attracted me to join Sweeney Miller Law is the culture – it’s collaborative, people focused and commercially driven, with high technical standards and real trust and autonomy.
“It’s an environment where people are encouraged to take ownership, grow with confidence and help shape the firm’s future in a positive, sustainable way.”
Rishi’s appointment builds on Sweeney Miller Law’s recent investment in its commercial and employment offering as it continues to support SMEs and larger corporates across the region and beyond.
Surbhi Vedhara, managing partner at Sweeney Miller Law, added: “We are excited to welcome Rishi to the partnership, who will bring a fresh perspective as we undertake the next phase of our growth strategy.”
