Building Bridges sets out delivery vision

A new North East consultancy has launched with a focus on turning political ambition into practical, deliverable outcomes for communities and places.

Building Bridges has been established by Graeme Miller and Nick Kemp to help organisations bridge the gap between strategy and real-world delivery across the North East.

Operating across Newcastle and Sunderland, the consultancy brings together senior leadership experience spanning politics, regeneration, housing and large-scale public programmes.

The launch coincides with the publication of A Bold, Deliverable Vision for the North East, 2026, which sets out an alternative approach to growth based on integrated, place-led delivery and measurable impact.

Nick said: “Too often, bold ideas fail not because they are wrong, but because no one is equipped to deliver them in the real world.

“We’ve spent our careers operating where politics, process and performance collide – and that’s where Building Bridges works best.”

Building Bridges will work with investors, developers, public bodies, local authorities and community leaders navigating complex environments where accountability and outcomes matter.

The consultancy aims to position the North East as a region defined not just by ambition, but by its ability to deliver lasting economic and social value.

Graeme added: “Our ambition is simple but demanding.

“To help organisations make investment, regeneration and growth work for people and places – embedding wellbeing, resilience and ESG outcomes into decisions from the outset, not as an afterthought.”
