Milners opens new Malton office

A Yorkshire-based law firm is continuing its regional expansion with the opening of a new office in a historic market town.

Milners Solicitors has launched its fifth office in Malton.

The new base will be led by Malton-born solicitors Sarah Hubery, partner and head of family law, and Andrew Little, head of commercial property, alongside commercial property executive April Gibson, all of whom live in and around Malton and have worked in the area for many years.

Initially operating from Stanley Harrison House, the Malton office will act as a springboard for further growth, with plans already in place to open a larger, fully refurbished town-centre location later this year.

The move builds on Milners’ strategy of expanding into key regional hubs while maintaining strong local connections, supporting individuals, landowners and businesses across North Yorkshire’s agricultural, equestrian and commercial communities.

Simon Bass, managing partner of Milners, said: “Malton is a significant hub and gateway to the equestrian and agricultural landscape, and we’re thrilled to launch in the heart of this thriving community for the first time.

“This expansion represents a natural progression for us, as we have built up over several years a strong portfolio of personal and business clients across Malton and the wider North Yorkshire area.

“As a people-powered law firm, the residents of Malton and beyond will be able to draw upon the home-grown Ryedale talent of Sarah, Andrew and April right on their doorstep.

“Our Malton base will also link seamlessly into our growing network of offices spanning Leeds, Harrogate, Pontefract and Darlington, and our 50-strong team covering a wide range of legal specialisms.

“As one of Yorkshire’s longest-established law firms – we celebrate our 130th anniversary next year – we are proud of our local roots and national reach.

“We are delighted that Malton will be central to our journey as part of this milestone moment.”
