FuelHub nets City charity partnership
A premium meal preparation company has secured a partnership with the charitable arm of a Premier League club to support young people during the school holidays.
FuelHub has been appointed Official Soccer Schools Meal Supplier to City in the Community, the official charity of Manchester City Football Club, under a 12-month agreement.
The company will provide nutritionist-designed meals to children aged six to 16 attending CITC Soccer Schools across Greater Manchester.
The programme covers 39 days of activity at venues including the City Football Academy, Connell College, Trinity Sports Centre and Manchester Enterprise Academy.
Hundreds of participants are expected to benefit during holiday periods.
Bosses say the initiative aims to tackle holiday hunger by ensuring children receive healthy meals while taking part in structured football sessions.
Participants will also be encouraged to take additional meals home to support families beyond the sessions.
Michelle Laithwaite, co-founder and chief executive at FuelHub, said: “We’re proud to work with CITC to ensure young people are properly fuelled while taking part in their Soccer Schools.
“We transform the health and wellbeing of everyday high-performers through effortless, nutritionist-designed meals.
“This programme allows us to give children the energy, confidence, and focus to get the most from every session, while also helping them build healthy habits that can extend beyond the Soccer Schools into their daily lives.”
Louise Wright, head of partnerships at City in the Community, added: “Having FuelHub on board as our Official Soccer Schools Meal Supplier means we can provide consistent, high-quality meals to all our participants.
“This ensures young people have the energy to get the most from the Soccer Schools while encouraging healthy habits they can take home.
“The partnership strengthens our ability to deliver our strategy, empowering children from challenging backgrounds to live healthier, more active lives.”
Later this year, FuelHub and CITC plan to launch a co-branded food range, giving young people a role in shaping nutritious options designed specifically for children.
