Ward Hadaway expands North East team
Newcastle and Teesside-based law firm Ward Hadaway has strengthened its regional presence with 27 new appointments across its North East offices.
The intake includes directors, solicitors, trainee solicitors and paralegals, with 22 hires in Newcastle and five in Teesside.
The appointments form part of a wider national recruitment drive, which has seen 44 new starters join the firm.
Across both offices, new team members will support clients in a range of practice areas, contributing to day-to-day advisory work as well as complex legal matters throughout the region.
Amie Leyden, associate in the real estate team based in the North East, added: “Ward Hadaway’s established presence in the North East and the breadth of work handled across both Newcastle and Teesside were key factors in my decision to join the firm after having previously trained with Ward Hadaway.
“The opportunity to work closely with experienced colleagues on a wide range of real estate matters, while supporting long-standing client relationships in the region, made it a strong fit.”
Lee Bramley, executive partner in the Teesside office, added: “The North East has long been a core region for the firm.
“We continue to see a consistent level of instruction across a broad range of matters, often requiring teams to work closely across disciplines.
“These appointments reflect the need to ensure we have the right level of capacity and experience across both Newcastle and Teesside to support clients effectively.”
Ward Hadaway employs nearly 600 people across offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Teesside, advising clients nationwide on commercial and personal legal matters.
