Civil engineer secures industrial hub contract
A civil and structural engineering firm has secured 43-acre industrial hub work.
HJ Consulting is set to support the creation of Mode 18 at Rossington, near Doncaster.
Bosses say the Wakefield-based company will provide ground engineering, highway and drainage design, hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment and drainage strategy planning on the multi-million-pound scheme.
Led by Premcor Estates, the venture is planned to include a 17.5-acre pre-let electric vehicle-ready distribution yard and 450,000 sq ft of industrial and warehousing space.
Andrew Fairburn, managing director of 26-staff-strong HJ Consulting, said: “We continue to strengthen our partnership with Premcor and support its investment plans for ambitious redevelopment projects with technical advice, skills and engineering expertise.
“This latest move comes when we are seeing continued growth in 2026 as we look to secure new contracts across the region and the UK.”
Simon Hawkins, Premcor Estates director, added: “With planning consent secured, we can move directly into delivery and begin building the infrastructure that underpins the entire scheme.
“We are delighted to have HJ Consulting on board and look forward to them playing a key role in the delivery of this milestone project.”
