Consultancy banks former Lloyds Bank base revamp
A commercial property consultancy has banked a historic regeneration project.
Naylors Gavin Black is supporting the revamp of Newcastle city centre’s former Lloyds Bank building.
Bosses say the project will transform the Grey Street-based grade II-listed property into a multi-use venue.
They add work will create a “high-end” restaurant across the building’s basement, ground-floor and mezzanine, with its upper floors “under consideration” for a range of complementary uses.
Scott Clarke, partner at Naylors Gavin Black, said: “It is a privilege to be involved in the regeneration of such an important and beautiful building.
“The space had become underutilised by the former tenant, so this project represents an exciting opportunity to restore its character and ensure it reaches its full potential once again.”
