Consultancy builds order book with storage site job
A surveying and construction project management firm has secured work to help deliver a self-storage site.
Silverstone Building Consultancy will oversee enabling works for a base on Simonside Industrial Estate, in South Shields.
Bosses say the project will add 50 storage containers to the site, with preparatory work set to include drainage installation, utilities and perimeter fence erection.
Newcastle, Leeds and London-based Silverstone Building Consultancy has appointed Evolution Design & Build to complete the works on behalf of scheme owner Kal NE Ltd.
Josh Brown, Silverstone Building Consultancy associate director, said: “We’re happy to be supporting the creation of a new business and jobs in South Shields, and are looking forward to getting started on site.”
The work adds to a busy order book for Silverstone Building Consultancy, which recently refurbished a Grade II-listed city base to create a Newcastle Building Society hub.
Further clients include Hitachi, British Land and The Inn Collection Group.
