McCormicks appoints two solicitors
North Yorkshire-based crime and fraud law firm McCormicks Solicitors has appointed Michelle Stewart as senior associate solicitor and welcomed Charlotte Davison as a solicitor apprentice.
Michelle brings experience across the police station, magistrates’ court, youth court and crown court, handling cases including serious violence, fraud, sexual offences and drug matters.
She is a qualified duty solicitor and also represents individuals investigated by bodies such as HMRC and the Department for Work and Pensions.
Charlotte is in her fifth year of training and has gained experience in housing, personal injury, civil litigation and crown court work.
She is also a qualified police station representative.
Their appointments strengthen McCormicks’ criminal defence capability, with the firm recently recognised in the Legal 500 for its crime and fraud practice.
Partner Peter Minnikin, who heads the crime and fraud department, said: “These appointments bring our team up to ten, reflecting the busy case load this department handles, and I am delighted to have Michelle and Charlotte on board.”
