Devonshires appoints first chief marketing officer
Law firm Devonshires has appointed Nicholas Barrows as its first chief marketing officer.
Nicholas returns to the firm after previously working there between 2006 and 2008.
He joins from Trowers & Hamlins, where he most recently served as director of marketing following an 18-year tenure.
In his new role, he will work with the senior leadership team to strengthen Devonshires’ marketing and business development functions and support the continued growth of the firm’s services.
Nicholas said: “I am delighted to be returning to Devonshires.
“I have been struck by how much the firm has grown and changed in the years since I last worked here and am excited by the opportunity to consolidate and build on that growth.
“I very much look forward to working with my new colleagues, not least Duncan Edwards, Charlotte Wilson and Jude Williamson, to ensure that Devonshires continues to go from strength to strength.”
Nicholas’ appointment follows two partner hires in January and comes as the firm continues to expand across its offices in London, Leeds, Birmingham and Colchester.
Duncan Edwards, chief executive at Devonshires, added: “It is a pleasure to be welcoming Nicholas back to Devonshires.
“He was the standout candidate to lead our excellent marketing and business development teams as our first chief marketing officer at what is an exciting time for the firm.
“I am confident that his strong track record across all areas of marketing and business development, as well as his deep understanding of our core sectors, will make him a hugely valuable addition to the team.”
