Builder cements growth plan with £80 million lift
A housebuilder has unveiled expansion plans following £80 million support.
Honey is set to open an East Midlands office.
Bosses say the move reflects its “continuing maturity” and will support “aggressive growth plans across Yorkshire and the Midlands”.
The office is expected to open later this year.
The blueprint comes after Sheffield and Leeds-based Honey secured an additional £80 million revolving credit facility with existing funder OakNorth and new partner NatWest.
Jeremy Gledhill, Honey chief financial officer, said: “This is a key milestone in our ongoing growth journey.
“It provides us with the flexibility to continue to be active and agile in the land market, and to open a third region in the East Midlands.”
Damien Hughes, OakNorth senior director of property finance, added: “It has been impressive to witness the fast growth Honey has achieved, and we look forward to seeing that continue alongside our future relationship.”
Founded in 2022, Honey posted revenues of £71.2 million for the year to December 31, 2025.
Its active and planned portfolio includes estates in Bradford; Goldthorpe, near Rotherham; Rossington, on the outskirts of Doncaster, Eastwood, near Nottingham; and Swadlincote, in Derbyshire.
Jonathan Ellis, NatWest director – real estate finance, added: “We have been impressed by Honey’s business performance and the ambition of the senior management team.
“We look forward to seeing it continue its regional expansion at pace.”
