Builder submits plans for 72-home development
A housebuilder has submitted plans for a 72-property village venture.
Banks Homes hopes to create an estate in Redmarshall, near Stockton-on-Tees.
Bosses say the “high-quality development... would give more local people and families a greater opportunity to stay in the village”.
They add the scheme would include family homes fitted with features such as air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.
Stockton Borough Council is expected to rule on the blueprint later this year. If approved, work could start in 2027.
Kate Culverhouse, community relations manager at County Durham-headquartered Banks Group, which includes Banks Homes, said: “We’re confident there will be strong demand for the new homes.
“We hope Stockton Borough Council’s planning committee will recognise the quality of the development.”
The blueprint comes just days after Banks Homes submitted plans for a 50-home development in Sedgefield, County Durham.
