Law firm opens new Grimsby office
A Yorkshire law firm is expanding its regional presence after opening a new office in Grimsby to bring specialist legal services closer to businesses and residents in North East Lincolnshire.
Switalskis has launched its 12th office at Fisherman’s Wharf, extending its footprint beyond its existing network across Yorkshire and London.
Bosses say the move is designed to provide local access to a range of legal expertise while supporting growing demand for specialist advice in the area.
The Grimsby base will house solicitors working across commercial property, residential conveyancing, medical negligence and child care law.
Clients will also be able to access the firm’s wider services, with colleagues from across the practice using the office to meet clients locally.
The expansion also enables the firm’s child care team to deliver legal aid-funded services in North East Lincolnshire, which requires a physical office presence in the area.
Both Ed Atkin, joint head of residential conveyancing, and Chris Gresswell-Green, a director in medical negligence, were born and raised in Grimsby and have been instrumental in establishing the new office.
Ed said: “Grimsby is my hometown, and home to my co-directors.
“We have deep knowledge of the local community and its property and business markets and have strong partner connections in the area.
“Having this local presence will give clients better access to face-to-face contact, which supports our personal approach.
“Our Grimsby office opening is a natural step for us as we have existing clients in North East Lincolnshire.
“It reinforces our model of delivering local access backed by national expertise.
“We plan to create skilled jobs here and contribute positively to the area’s professional and economic life.
“I’m thrilled that we’re investing in the future of this town and the local region.”
