Holden Smith expands team with raft of new hires
Yorkshire and Manchester-based law firm Holden Smith has appointed a number of new team members across its legal departments as it reports a turnover of £8.5 million for its financial year ending in February 2026.
Steve Esmond joins as an employment consultant, supporting the corporate and commercial team, while Adele Walker has been appointed to the commercial property team.
Alex Osborne also joins as a private client solicitor, alongside further hires including conveyancing solicitor Haider Tarique and family solicitor Romana Ali.
Their appointments strengthen Holden Smith’s offering across key practice areas as the firm continues to grow its team and regional presence.
Holden Smith co-founder James Smith said: “Steve’s career has focused solely on employment law and his depth and breadth of expertise in everything from TUPE to employment tribunal litigation will be a real asset to the team, helping us to achieve sustained growth in our corporate and commercial team.”
“Alex’s experience will help us support high net worth individuals and those with more complex financial affairs more effectively as increasing numbers of clients come to us for a joined-up approach to estate and tax affairs from both a legal and financial planning perspective.”
Co-founder David Bancroft added: “Our commercial property team is continuing to experience sustained demand from investors, developers and business owners who need the responsive and commercially focused service that our team can offer, and Adele’s experience in the landlord and tenant space will allow us to develop this service even further.”
