Hub developer seals roadside scheme backing
An industrial hub developer has unveiled a roadside scheme.
Premcor Estates has been backed to add occupiers including McDonald’s, Costa and fuel station operator The Brookfield Group to the Mode 18 base at Rossington, near Doncaster.
Officials say the “significant milestone” retailers represent a “vital component” in the wider project, which is set to include a 17.5 acre pre-let electric vehicle-ready distribution yard and 450,000sq ft of industrial and warehousing space.
They add the blueprint will see McDonald’s and Costa operate a drive-thru restaurant and drive-thru coffee shop, respectively.
It is understood building work is planned to start in late summer.
Simon Hawkins, Premcor Estates’ director, said: “This is a prime, rapidly growing location with exceptional road, rail and air links, so these new retail outlets will fill a significant gap in the local market.”
Aziz Patel, managing partner at The Brookfield Group, added: “Our investment reflects our commitment to delivering the modern infrastructure required by the next generation of logistics and roadside users.”
