Taco Bell operator to grow after eight-figure boost
A restaurant franchise operator has added growth to its menu after landing eight-figure backing.
Campana is set to open a number of Taco Bell sites.
Officials say the £20 million investment programme will create about 600 jobs by expanding the firm’s 23-strong Taco Bell portfolio across the Midlands, South West and Wales to more than 50 by 2029.
They add the funding – secured from HSBC UK – will see six sites open across the regions “in the coming months”, with plans in place to scale to 12 restaurants a year.
David Morgan, finance director at Campana, which sits within the wider SYMBRO Group, said: “Since opening our first Taco Bell six years ago, we’ve consistently seen strong demand for this much-loved brand.
“This latest funding will enable Campana to build on our momentum.”
Under the terms of the deal, Campana will receive a revolving credit facility to gain flexible access to capital as locations are secured and construction and fit-outs begin.
Paul Lane, HSBC UK relationship director, added: “Campana has built a strong Taco Bell franchise business.
“The quick-service restaurant market continues to show resilience, with franchising offering a scalable and effective route to growth.
“Against this backdrop, the business’ clear expansion strategy made a compelling case.”
