Gateley expands Leeds team with hires
Legal and professional services group Gateley has appointed Kate McLean and Brendan McGilloway as legal directors in its Leeds office.
Kate joins the corporate team, bringing experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate restructuring, while Brendan joins the real estate team from Deloitte Legal, advising on investment, development and asset management matters.
Both bring senior expertise from roles across leading firms, strengthening Gateley’s corporate and real estate practices in the region.
Their appointments form part of wider growth in Leeds, with the firm also welcoming four new paralegals as it continues to invest in talent and expand its regional offering.
Roger McCourt, partner and Leeds office head, said: “These appointments are a sign of the confidence that we have in the region.
“Leeds is a city on the up and is the largest financial and professional services hub in the UK outside London and we are pleased to be growing alongside it.
“Kate and Brendan are highly experienced lawyers who will make a very positive impact on our client offering and support our strategic ambitions to expand our corporate and real estate practices.”
