Historic caravan retailer hitches new owner
A 100-year-old caravan and motorhome retailer has a new owner.
Yorkshire Caravans has been bought by Purosangue Limited.
Based on a 35-acre site in Bawtry, near Doncaster, the firm was founded in 1926 by petrol station operator Percy Smith.
Its sale was supported by Manchester-based La Salle.
Matt Dillon, of Didsbury-headquartered La Salle, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to work with the management team on this deal.
“The business has been in the Goulden family for 100 years, so it was a special deal to advise on.
“I wish the team at Purosangue all the best for the future.”
