Clough & Willis promotes partner
Bury-based law firm Clough & Willis has promoted Ryan Browne to partner within its private client team.
Ryan joined the firm in 2022 as a solicitor and was promoted to senior associate in 2024, reflecting his contribution to the growing department.
He previously spent five years at a Manchester-based firm specialising in estate administration.
Ryan advises on a range of private client matters, including wills, estate administration, inheritance tax, and lasting powers of attorney.
In his new role, he will support the strategic development of the department while continuing to work with clients across the region, reinforcing the firm’s private client offering.
Ryan said: “I’m incredibly proud to become a partner at Clough & Willis.
“Since arriving at the firm, I’ve been supported in a meaningful way which has developed my skill set and experience.
“The whole team’s commitment to their clients, and our deep roots in the local community, align perfectly with my own values, so stepping into this role feels like a natural and exciting next chapter.”
Nicola Finbow, head of the private client team, added: “Ryan’s appointment is thoroughly deserved.
“His technical ability, client‑focused approach and dedication to delivering high‑quality advice have made a real impact on both his direct team and the wider firm.
“He has consistently demonstrated leadership and initiative, and I have no doubt he will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our private client offering.”
