Buyout dishes up new chapter for catering firm
A Midlands catering business has changed hands following a management buyout.
mfg Solicitors has advised Dave and Clare Cowin on the acquisition of Birmingham-based Robinsons Catering Limited for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2007, the family-run company delivers hot and cold catering services across sectors including education, nurseries, exhibitions and corporate hospitality.
Its client base includes major venues such as the NEC.
Dave said: “I’d like to thank the mfg team for the tremendous support and advice throughout the acquisition process.
“It can be complex and time-consuming when taking over a business, but the handling of the whole process from start to finish was superb.
“We look forward to building an ever more successful business in the months and years ahead.”
Philip Chapman, a partner in mfg’s corporate division, added: “We are delighted to have acted on behalf of the buyer to complete the acquisition of Robinsons Catering Limited.
“Robinsons is a family business, and with our guidance, Dave and Clare Cowin have now successfully completed a management buyout after running the business for ten years.
“This marks a new beginning for Dave and Clare as they carry on the legacy of the Robinsons name.”
The transaction also involved Knight Plc, acting for the seller, and Catanneo.
