Blacks Solicitors grows finance team
Leeds-based law firm Blacks Solicitors has expanded its real estate finance team with three new hires as demand continues to rise.
The firm has appointed Ugochi Nwabuikwu as solicitor, Alex Mathias as associate solicitor and Dev Matharu as graduate solicitor apprentice, significantly increasing the size of the team.
The appointments follow a period of strong growth, with the team now accounting for more than 20 per cent of the wider real estate department’s turnover and handling an increasing number of high-value transactions.
Alex said: “Joining Blacks’ real estate finance team is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-value and complex property finance deals.
“The team has vast expertise in development, bridging, and portfolio finance transactions, and I look forward to further developing my practical, hands-on experience at the firm.”
The move reflects continued investment in talent as the firm supports a growing client base across complex real estate finance deals.
Marcus Kaye, head of real estate finance at Blacks, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Ugochi, Alex and Dev as we build on the strong progress made in recent years.
“Their appointments reflect growing demand for our services and further strengthen our real estate finance offering to clients.
“Looking ahead, this expansion underlines our ambition to continue growing the team, broaden our client base and deepen the trusted relationships we’ve built with lenders and borrowers across the market.”
