Operator backed for 240-affordable home scheme
A housing operator has been backed to create a 240-affordable home venture.
Habiko has secured approval to deliver a Warrington development.
Bosses say the scheme – earmarked for the town’s Academy Way – will include two six-storey apartment buildings featuring one and two-bed dwellings.
They add the development – backed by Warrington Borough Council – will provide 100 per cent affordable housing, with properties offered at least 20 per cent below local market rent.
Habiko is an affordable homes partnership between Pension Insurance Corporation, Muse and Homes England.
Sarah Chicken, Muse senior development manager, said: “Habiko’s commitment to Academy Way will bring high-quality, affordable homes to Warrington in an area with growing demand.
“We’re pleased that we can create a neighbourhood that makes a positive contribution to the local community.”
